FuelCloud Upgrade and Explosionproof Electrical Re-Pipe on an Existing Fuel System

Older fuel systems don't always get replaced - sometimes they just need the right upgrades to keep running safely and reliably. That's exactly what we were dealing with here. An existing diesel fuel setup that needed a serious electrical overhaul and a modern fuel management solution.

We installed a new FuelCloud system to give the site proper fuel monitoring and access control. FuelCloud is a cloud-based fuel management platform, which means the operator can track every transaction, set access by user or vehicle, and pull detailed reports - all remotely. For a fleet fueling setup like this, that kind of visibility is a big deal.

The electrical side of the work is where things got technical. We re-piped all the electrical in new rigid conduit with proper seal-offs and listed explosionproof fittings throughout. In a fuel environment, this isn't optional. It's code, and it's the difference between a safe installation and a dangerous one. Cutting corners here is never worth it.

Explosionproof fittings are specifically designed to contain any ignition source inside the fitting itself, preventing vapors from igniting in the surrounding area. When you're working around fuel, that layer of protection matters. We make sure every component is listed and installed exactly to spec - no shortcuts, no gray areas.
