A single row of lights running through a large food court sounds fine in theory. In practice, it leaves half the seating area dim, creates uneven shadows across tables, and makes the whole space feel a little off. That's exactly what we were working with here.
We reworked the layout completely - going from that one-row setup to a clean, symmetrical 8-light configuration spread across the entire seating area. The goal was simple: get consistent light coverage from one end of the space to the other, no bright spots, no dark corners.
The difference that kind of layout change makes is hard to overstate. When light is distributed evenly, the space just feels better. More open. More welcoming. Shoppers sit down, stay longer, and the whole food court reads as a higher-quality environment - which matters for every vendor in that space.
This is the kind of commercial electrical work we do regularly. It's not always about replacing old fixtures with new ones. Sometimes it's about rethinking where the fixtures go in the first place. Getting the layout right is just as important as the hardware itself.
Whether it's a food court, a retail floor, or any other commercial space, lighting layout has a real impact on how customers experience it. We handle the planning and the installation - so the end result actually matches what the space needs.
